I build Shaker style furniture using native southeastern cherry and longleaf pine.   All of the wood I use comes from trees cut in the Thomasville, GA area.  After they're rough-sawn and dried, I mill the boards myself to the desired dimensions.  I use traditional mortise-tenon and dovetail joinery techniques, and apply several coats of a hand-rubbed clear finish which allows the wood to reveal its character as it darkens over time.   If you would like to inquire about my furniture, please send a note to jack@jackolsonwoodworking.com.
